A vegetation that can survive in the dry land
An easy definition of a succulent plant is a plant that has tissues which is used to store up water they need to survive during the long dry period.
You can find many of the plants which are considered to be part of the succulent plants in Madagascar such as the Pachypodiums (Apocynaceae), Folotse (Apocynaceae), Kalanchoes (Crassulaceae), Xerosicyos (Cucurbitaceae), Uncarina (Pedaliaceae), Euphorbia species (Euphorbiaceae), Aloes (Liliaceae), Adansonia (Malvaceae), Delonix (Fabaceae)…
To see more of those succulent plants, I recommend a trip to the south and to the southwest of Madagascar as they are very common in the spiny forest and in the dry area.
