Big trees, proud to be the roots of the sky

Baobab trees are among the largest and oldest trees that you can see during your trip to Madagascar. There are 8 species of Baobab trees in the world.
Six of them are endemic to Madagascar:
-
Adansonia za, found from south to the southwest of Madagascar
-
Adansonia fony, found from south to the southwest of Madagascar
-
Adansonia grandidieri, found in the west of Madagascar
-
Adansonia madagascariensis, found from the west to the northwest of Madagascar
-
Adansonia perrieri, found in the north of Madagascar
-
Adansonia suarezensis, found in the north of Madagascar
Many of the locals have a respect for some of the huge baobab trees in the island as it is thought that a spirit is dwelling inside them.
When you are travelling to Madagascar, you will see Baobabs with names and stories including the Baobab Avenue, the Sacred Baobabs, and the Baobab in love.
Thus, we recommend you to come and stand under the baobab trees, and you will notice how big those trees are. The roots of the sky with a perfect silhouette at sunset.
A memorable experience.
