In search of threatened species...

Welcome to the website that will give you more information on things that you are supposed to see and experience during your trip to Madagascar.

'

As a Natural History Tour Guide running tours to different National Parks and Reserves in Madagascar for more than twelve years now, I decided to design this website to invite more people, who think that there is no possible way of living on earth without Nature, to come and explore the endemic wildlife and the unique plants of Madagascar, the fourth largest island in the world which is located in between the Mozambique Channel and the Indian Ocean.

Madagascar is the island where the lemurs come from and the only place where you can see them in their natural habitats including the rainforest in the east, spiny forest in the south, and dry deciduous forest in the west. Each of those forest types has its own features and particularities that will give you a real experience and an unforgettable expedition.

Apart from the lemurs which become part of the main interest of the trip to Madagascar, Madagascar also has more than twelve thousand plant species. It is the result of its geographical location and its climates.  Many of them are now highly threatened, and several people use them for medical purposes.

To enjoy the Madagascar Wildlife which includes the lemurs, frogs, chameleons and birds, and to discover its endemic plant species such as the orchids, pachypodiums, aloes and kalanchoes, I have the pleasure to invite you to explore this website which will give you an idea of what to see in Madagascar as we are IN SEARCH OF THREATENED SPECIES…
