MADAGASCAR WILDLIFE

Madagascar wildlife is unique, rare and endemic. They are part of the forest life and many of them could not survive outside their natural habitat.

In Madagascar, you can find tenrecs and hedgehogs which become endangered now as many of the locals are still hunting them for food.

Mangooses and civets are also among the carnivore families that you may encounter during a forest expedition, and in some caves and high up on the trees, some of the Madagascar flying foxes hanging themselves upside down and make quite a loud noise.

Besides, Madagascar is the only place where you can see the Giant jumping rats that live in a big burrow in the dry forest, and they are remarkable for their way of hunting.

As far as wildlife is concerned, there are many to see in Madagascar. The more time you spend in the forest, the more experiences you have as we are IN SEARCH OF THREATENED SPECIES…
