Colourful creatures, the beauty of nature.
Madagascar has about 300 species of birds. 119 of them are endemic to the island and they can be seen in the spiny forest in the south, dry deciduous forest in the west, and, of course, many bird species are restricted to the rainforest in the east.
Those endemic birds are dominated by the Ground Rollers, Vangas, Couas, Asities and the Mesites. Other species such as the kingfishers and the Rails, some of the Ibises, the Flufftails can be seen in different types of forest in Madagascar. As for the coast, there is a chance to see more of the seabirds: the Albatrosses, Frigatebirds, Petrels, Plovers, and some Tropicbirds.
Birding in Madagascar is a real experience for those who want to learn a lot about the bird entire life. Come to Madagascar and we will show you more bird species as we are IN SEARCH OF THREATENED SPECIES…
